Professional software developer and part-time teacher Dave Briccetti will share how he teaches students to write programs that use 2D and 3D graphics and animation, as well as sound, including speech synthesis and recognition. He’ll guide you, during the session, through writing a short JavaScript program to animate 3D objects, using p5.js. Then he’ll show some more advanced programs, in Java, Scala, and Python that students can work up to, while pointing out areas where this work overlaps with geometry, trigonometry and physics.

All software presented is free or open source.
